I have heard of several stories about women being mistreated by men in several cultures across the globe, I have also seen few women harassed by men and society and also seen women who have a submissive attitude in the society. I have also seen women who prefer to be dominated by men and society. True, this thought is subjective. I used to always think when will humankind see a peaceful free society across the globe with both men and women living harmoniously in equality? Then yesterday, I happen to see a wild life program which showed how male animals dominates the females in order to make sure that, only their genes are passed on to the next generation. There will be barbaric fights between two males in order to own entire group of females. Species like Lions, even go to an extent where certain males even kill other male’s offspring’s to make sure the competitor’s genes are finished off. Technology has surely made our lives much easier. I surely cannot think of my life without washing machine, vacuum cleaner, DVD player, Mp3 player, Television and of course computers. While we are using washing machines, vacuum cleaners for cleaning purposes, appliances like Television, MP3 players, DVD players and of course computers are used for recreation, for studying, for news, music, etc. Today, we have so many sources to keep us occupied that sometimes I really can’t choose one among them to entertain me for say 2-3 hours continuously. I will be distracted by these multiple “options” very often. Most of the time, I stick to television and try and spend only few minutes in front of computer for news, blogging, to write to my friends and family and only "limited" time into community networks. This is written for the "Sleepy Sunday Contest – II" by Weblog in which we are asked to write based on the picture below: Woman until very recently was made to think she was meant to be within the four walls. Even history quoted that her individuality was restrained within four walls in general and inside the kitchen in particular. She until very recently was considered a Man’s property and this is true for many even now. This dependence might be due to several reasons and I would like to highlight two of the most obvious: 1) Woman wanted herself to be under Man’s rule because it was her family Tradition OR 2) She was forced to be Man’s property by the Society, since it was called “Culture” >built< by the society.
