A Few minute’s glance through Times of India online page and I can be entertained for rest of the day. How? Like below.

Disclaimer: Read at your own risk :)

Sometime during end of May-2011
“Top” stories:
  • Lata Mangeshkar:  “I will not retire”
My thoughts:
Dear Lataji, I really loved your voice and songs during 50’s 60’s 70’s and even 80’s for Madhuri. But I could not take it at all when you sang for Kajol, Rani. How did you expect your plus 50’s voice to suit 20’s Kajol and Rani?? And now you are saying that you will not retire?? Can you be so kind and give your clear intensions please?
Are you are planning to sing for Kalki or Genelia, or Deepika? If so please kindly spare me and most of Indians might surely vote for my appeal!
  • Baba Ramdev: If we bring all the black money into India, then by 2020(??) 1 Indian Rs = 50 USD
My thoughts:
Ah, what an insight really.. The best of best Economist can retire and take a bow or maybe new kind of bow-ing through Surya Namaskar!
  • Hor(r)oscope:  Virgo (Yes!!My Zodiac is Virgo): “Your confused mind will prevent you from taking important issues”
My thoughts:
Really??—"Taking" important issue- to where?
I do not believe in Horoscope, but I surely >did< foresee grammatical mistake from "TOP" Indian New page called Times Of India!
  • TOI Poll:  Do you agree with Kapil Dev that cricketers should decide whether they want to play for country or club?
a)      Agree
b)      Disagree
c)       Can’t say
If you want to vote, please answer this simple mathematic question
1+4=?

My thoughts:
What has this simple mathematics question got to do with Kapil’s thoughts?
Is TOI convinced that people who read their newspaper online are just out of primary school or just primary school educated people reading their newspaper is quite sufficient and that they in fact target such audiences only???
  • Life & Style: When your friend's partner is sexier
My thoughts:
Good for him/her. Somebody at least will enjoy their sex life.
  • Bangladeshi woman takes “attacker’s” penis to police.
My thoughts:
Hahahaha, serves that man right!
  • Who do you think deserve best acting award in bollywood for the year of 2010?
My thoughts:
I think the doggie of the heroine, or the horses hero rides. They are natural acting isn't it?
  • Salman Khan in trouble again
My thoughts:
(again??)
Oh! it is never ending story. I personally think he should get married soon and settle down to avoid such desperate situations!
  • Microsoft releases IE 9 in 11 Indian languages
My thoughts:
Yes, yes!
Kannada is one among them, hurray!!
  • India, Germany discusses Pak, sign four agreements-for cooperation in vocational education, medical research, science and technology and nuclear physics. Asked about the use of nuclear energy, Singh said every effort would be made to ensure that all safety norms and generation and utilization of nuclear energy are world class. "Today our nuclear energy is three per cent of our total energy generation. Our capacity is less than 5,000 MW. We want to raise it to 20,000 MW by the year 2020," Singh said.
My thoughts:
Ahh, just 2 days ago, German Chancellor Angela Merkal decided to close all their nuclear power stations in Germany by2020 in order to avoid the same fate as Japan’s nuclear disaster and now she is in Delhi to discuss Nuclear Physics?
Oh yes, hurrah! I linked the stories at last. How ingenious of Germany and foolish of India, or is it foolish? Sometimes my own intelligence surprises me. I should have taken Political science as my career. What a shame!
  • What is the morning Banana diet?
My thoughts:
How about banana split? OR I will live this to the imagination of whoever reads this!
  • Pubs bar African nationals in Bangalore: Read this interesting article. Pubs and bars in Bangalore are denying entry to nationals from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania and other African countries citing security reasons, as the common belief is that all ebony-skinned people are 'drug peddlers', 'scamsters' and 'trouble makers'. Bangalore has a sizeable student population from the African continent - 20-somethings from countries as diverse as Cameroon and Nigeria, Ghana and Tanzania. However, at most of the city's hip clubs, all dark-skinned people are strange.....
My thoughts:
Aren’t we Indians enough of discriminating our own people??
  • Student returns from US, commits suicide in Chennai
My thoughts:
what a waste of time and space!

Ok, All these kinds of news in the morning certainly will provide enough manure to my brains to sustain for the rest of my day to think and think and gossip and to discuss with Kiran and argue (if possible, try to give feminist views to some issues and then annoy Kiran just for the sake of it ) ha ha.
